Miniature Linear Actuators are for applications in laboratory automation, inspection or optical systems.
Design engineers of devices for laboratory automation, inspection or for optical systems must today more than ever accommodate sophisticated drive solutions in the smallest possible space.
These device manufacturers need solutions that are technically suitable for their application and at the same time are cost-effective.
The MiniSlideTM series of miniature linear units from our manufacturing partner Haydon Kerk can solve these demanding tasks while reducing the design effort involved in developing guided linear assemblies from individual components. The miniature linear units can be configured for different strokes and forces, are easy to integrate and offer a compact low profile. They consist of a stepper motor, a running thread spindle, a spindle nut, a slide (integrated with the spindle nut) and linear guides.
The MiniSlide series offers tremendous design flexibility with two motor options: a 21mm size 8 hybrid linear actuator and a 20mm can-stack actuator. There are also nine different spindle pitches from 0.3mm to 8mm - with a resolution of up to 0.0015mm per step, axial forces of up to 45N and stroke lengths of up to 150mm. Finally, four different lubrication options, an encoder feedback option and English or metric hardware standards are available for mounting. The miniature linear units are ideal for use in laboratory automation applications such as sample handling, spectrometers and chromatographs, molecular analyzers, optical microscopes and other test equipment.
