The capacitive, contactless measurement principle operates without optical components and is resistant to dust, moisture, shock, vibration, as well as strong magnetic fields and EMC interference. With a high resolution of up to 26 bits and a repeatability of ±0.0002°, VLZ encoders are particularly well suited for highly dynamic axes in machine tools, rotary tables, direct drives, and robotics.
