MACCON Launches VLZ Series: Capacitive High-Performance Hollow-Shaft Encoders for Mechanical Engineering

Munich, January 27, 2026 – MACCON launches the VLZ series, new capacitive hollow-shaft encoders for mechanical engineering—contactless and ultra-precise, offering up to 26-bit resolution with ±0.0002° repeatability.

The capacitive, contactless measurement principle operates without optical components and is resistant to dust, moisture, shock, vibration, as well as strong magnetic fields and EMC interference. With a high resolution of up to 26 bits and a repeatability of ±0.0002°, VLZ encoders are particularly well suited for highly dynamic axes in machine tools, rotary tables, direct drives, and robotics. Large hollow-shaft diameters, wide mounting tolerances, and a low profile simplify integration and make VLZ encoders a future-proof solution for precise, low-maintenance machine designs.
